The Nepean Redevelopment is overseeing the planning and construction of the new renal unit at Blue Mountains Hospital which will include 6 renal dialysis chairs to accomodate up to 24 people from Blue Mountains and Lithgow. 

The Katoomba Community Dialysis Centre will operate as a satellite service for the Nepean Hospital, which is part of the Nepean Blue Moutains Local Health District. 

Planning for the six-chair service in Katoomba is well underway with input from staff and patients, and construction is on track to start in 2018.
